In today’s digital age, it’s more important than ever to understand how to navigate the online world and utilize technology effectively. We’re proud to announce that Venture Communications is teaming up with Michell Technical College in 2024 to bring digital literacy and streaming classes to the communities we serve.

The digital literacy class will explore the wide range of benefi ts that digital technology has to offer and will introduce you to the basic functions of various devices including smartphones, laptops, and tablets. Practical applications of digital technology — such as email communications, paperless bill management, telemedicine, online banking, and social media platforms will be discussed — as well as how to identify common online threats and protect your online safety and security.

The streaming class will dive into the in and outs of the video streaming world. We’ll help you understand the benefi ts of streaming, how to stream on different devices, and how to choose the right streaming platform for you based on your needs. Our instructor will also go over the importance of internet speed and how it affects video quality, help you understand the remote-control functionality, and provide hands-on practice with streaming.

We will be holding classes in the following areas, the schedule is as follows:

Class to be held in Faulkton at the Faulkton City Office:

April 9th - 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Digital Literacy
